This is what REAL AFRICANS think of ANTI-HUNTERS…

And the nonsense they spout.

That’s what African leaders with the ministries of environment and departments of wildlife of several African nations had to say during a Breakfast Press Round Table organized by the CIC in Brussels during the 63rd General Assembly of the International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation. Their comments were in response to a recent effort to introduce legislation in the European Union to ban hunting trophies as much as it was in response to the various bans on trophy importations by governments, airlines and cargo shipping companies around the world.

Here’s how South African Deputy Minister of Environmental Affairs Barbara Thomson put it:

“For us this is a very sensitive matter. The approach of these groups is a radical and elitist one. We must remember that our communities historically have been deprived and unable to benefit from what nature offers them. And now that we are in the position to receive these benefits through hunting, we find ourselves addressing this elitist approach from those outside of Africa.
