From our friends at Rigby:
For security reasons, until now, we were unable to communicate that the Rigby team visited the Kumaon region in India last week on a landmark trip to make a significant donation to the Jim Corbett National Park and to follow in the great man’s very footsteps.
The remarkable part of this donation tour was after 12 months of negotiation with the very highest officials in both the Indian and British government, Rigby was permitted to take Corbett’s actual .275 rifle back into the country for the first time in some 70 years when ordinarily it is forbidden to import firearms following the ban on hunting in 1970.
This opportunity gifted the Rigby team the chance to take the rifle on a pilgrimage to some very special and historic places. This evening, the rifle returned safely to its display in the London showroom with yet another chapter notched on its headboard. We will cover this extraordinary trip in detail over the coming weeks….
