Regardless of whether they’re in a zoo or park, wild animals are wild animals and will attack.

Such was the case with this zoo keeper in Northern Queensland.

Crocodile attacks handler in Billabong Sanctuary near Townsville
THE victim of a crocodile attack at a North Queensland wildlife sanctuary has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

It is understood the 25-year-old woman suffered multiple fractures and a significant arm injury during the incident at Billabong Sanctuary in Townsville at 3.30pm.

She was taken to Townsville Hospital for treatment while paramedics treated eight people at the scene for shock.

Billabong Sanctuary did not wish to comment on the incident. The wildlife park hosts a daily crocodile feeding show at 3.15pm.
