Gun shop owner John Downs is a hero…

Let’s make sure he gets the recognition he deserves…

And the main street media won’t give him!

A gun store owner may have stopped a mass shooting at Ohio University after he refused to sell a weapon to a man who passed a background check, because he had a ‘bad feeling’ about the sale.

John Downs, owner of Downs Bait and Guns, in Logan, Ohio, said he did not sell a long gun to James Howard, 25, because he sounded as if he was going to harm himself or others.

‘I just said, you know what, bud, I have a really bad feeling about this. I just can’t sell you the gun,’ Mr Downs explained.

The former Ohio University student and hockey player, who had attempted to buy a gun and ammunition, left the store angry and returned later in the day.

Mr Downs would not let the man into his store a second time and told his customers to hide, loaded three guns and called 911.
