Bowhunter Randy Haines took a Wisconsin first.

Haines recently arrowed what is being hailed as the first recorded mule deer ever taken in that state.

Mr. Haines was hunting near his hometown of Amery in the northwest portion of the state when he took the Dairy State first.

NEWS FLASH: Mule Deer Taken In...Wisconsin?

It goes without saying that mule deer are not native to the state.

No word on how the buck got there.
