Down goes Verizon!
Jim Liberatore, CEO and President of Outdoor Sportsman Group Networks announced via a Press Release Thursday that cable provider Verizon has dropped Outdoor Channel from its television service.
Verizon similarly dropped the Sportsman Channel from its lineup last month.
For those of you keeping track, that makes TWO hunting channels Verizon has canceled in a month’s period.
Liberatore’s release read in part, “Our partners, advocates and viewers of outdoor lifestyle programming are very disappointed with Verizon’s actions in the last month. It should concern all Americans that one company can silence the only relevant voice of an entire industry with the flip of a switch.”
Verizon has said that their dropping these channels is a financial decision only.
