“I will bake the fillets with pepper and butter, enough for two or three meals, I expect,” is what angler Michael Meade says he’ll do with the monster snakehead he took with bow and arrow this past week.

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources has confirmed that Meade’s 17.49-pound northern snakehead taken in the marshes of Mattawoman Creek is the new state record.


Those things are nasty.
