Dear Male Snowflake: Real Men Are Hunters, So I Guess That Leaves You Out

Since the dawn of time, hunting has been one of the tasks (and joys) that has fallen to the MEN in the village. Whatever happened to that attitude?

Since the dawn of time, hunting has been one of the tasks (and joys) that has fallen to the MEN in the village. Whatever happened to that attitude?

Do the ladies get in on the fun sometimes? Sure, but NOT being involved in the hunting and fishing generally meant you were still a boy, or too old. Or, it could mean you had a debilitating injury of some sort.

A healthy male not participating in the hunting (or fishing, if you lived near a supply of fish) was simply unthinkable.

But in our sissified, never-leave-the-city culture where so many guys get free range organic meat straight from a shelf (if they even eat meat) the idea of shouldering a rifle, or baiting a hook is almost unthinkable.

No wonder we have a generation of man-boys. We’ve forgotten where we’ve come from.

And if they discovered they suddenly NEEDED that skill again — say, to survive a winter with the grocery stores running empty — THEN what?

Real men are naturally hard-wired to be hunters. True men are providers, protectors, hunters and heroes. To stymie this is to effectively neuter a dude and keep him from what God made him to be; and diminish him to the realm of the effeminate.
